A Christian Recovery Ministry

Mission ofMercy

Hope.Deliverance.Life in Christ.

We help people in a hopeless condition or a difficult season of life find genuine freedom, healing, and new life through the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
About the Ministry

Mission of Mercy is a Christian ministry devoted to the spiritual, emotional, and social restoration of people who find themselves in a hopeless condition or a difficult season of life.

Our core conviction is that only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can bring a person genuine freedom, healing, and new life.

The ministry exists not merely to ease a person’s crisis, but to point them to the one reliable path to full and lasting restoration — faith in Jesus Christ.

Affiliation

The ministry operates under Living Hope Bible Church (livinghopefl.org). All ministers are members of the church. Spiritual life and participation in church fellowship are an essential part of recovery.

Mission & Philosophy

The one reliable path

We seek not simply to relieve a person’s condition during a crisis, but to point them to the single reliable path to complete and irreversible restoration — through faith in Jesus Christ.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28

What we believe

1

True and lasting restoration comes only through faith in Jesus Christ — not through willpower, technique, or time alone.

2

The deepest need of every person is the most important question of life: being born again.

3

Change must be voluntary. No one can be brought into the program or kept against their will — genuine transformation requires the person’s own desire.

4

A person is received and treated as family — in a safe, supportive, Gospel-centered environment.

5

Restoration is holistic: spiritual, personal, family, and social — and it extends to the whole family, not only the individual.

Principles

What we stand on

These are the non-negotiable principles that define how the ministry thinks and operates.

01

Gospel first

The Gospel is the method, not an add-on. Every form of help points toward Christ.

02

Voluntary participation

People stay only by their own conscious decision to change their life.

03

No fixed term

The program has no set length. Duration is individual and decided together with the ministers.

04

Open to any past

People with any background, including a criminal record, are accepted. What matters is the desire to change.

05

Faith invited, not forced

Belief in God is not required to enter. Participation in spiritual life is required, but no one is forced to accept the faith.

06

Spiritual, not clinical

The program does not provide professional psychological or medical treatment. Support comes through mentorship and Gospel-based counsel.

07

Structure and discipline

Early restrictions help the person focus fully on restoration.

08

Church-embedded

Participants attend Sunday worship, home groups, and key church events.

09

Family is included

Relatives are ministered to as well — with prayer, counsel, and help toward reconciliation.

10

Multiplication

Those who are restored are trained to serve and help others within the Mission.

Conditions & Rules

Conditions of participation

Conditions for entering

  • A genuine desire to radically change the direction of one’s life.
  • Mandatory completion of the participant intake form.
  • Willingness to follow the Mission’s conditions — from first contact until return to independent life.
  • If the form cannot be completed, the person may call the Mission, and we will try to find other forms of help.

Rules during the program

  • Personal items are limited, especially at the start — only essentials such as clothing and hygiene items.
  • For at least the first ten days, phones, documents, and car keys are generally not allowed.
  • Participation in spiritual life is mandatory — it is a core part of the program.
  • In the early stage participants do not work, in order to focus on restoration; later, by agreement, they may combine the program with employment.
  • Breaking the rules leads to a conversation with the ministers; depending on severity, a warning or dismissal.
  • Participants may leave early, but are strongly encouraged to stay until the ministers agree they are ready.

Mission leadership reserves the right to refuse admission to, or to dismiss someone from, the program without explanation.

The Recovery Process

The path to new life

There is no fixed duration — length is individual and depends on the participant’s progress, with the final decision made together with the ministers.

The goal is deep spiritual restoration through faith in Jesus Christ, which gives participants inner strength to fight addiction.

The ministry teaches discipline, provides mentorship, and where needed helps with a plan for reintegration into society. Family members may take part in conversations with the ministers.

Ministry to Loved Ones

Support for family & loved ones

Mission of Mercy supports not only those in recovery but also their families, friends, and loved ones, understanding how hard it is to live through a loved one’s crisis.

Hope. Deliverance. Life in Christ.
